I come to you in private practice to offer remote art lessons geared towards individuals wanting social connection and not always aligning with in person experiences of art and socialization. I can provide therapeutic calming online environment for gentle skills based lessons, online environment which with permission can have have chaotic feature to practice desensitization and exposure to uncertain stimuli. Can also set up environment for high level encouragement and positive focus without harsh critique to help build inner voice, self esteem and general sense of positive regard. PROVIDER AGENCY FOUNDER: I have 10 years experience as a founder and owner of a Provider Agency (Allies, LLC) in Lane County, Oregon under OAR 411-323 having put around 2000 hours of low wage PSW 1:1 and unpaid work and $5000 initially to ensure opening on 1/1/2016 with a full time schedule ready to bring on a second person with full time schedule day one. This took significant sacrifice, hard work and dedication to take “just an idea” and change it into a full fledged business. Through my effort and energy Allies, LLC was allowed to become the thriving business it is today with milestones like reaching high 6 figure revenue year one of operation. Now operating throughout Lane County with multiple sites and programs. In speaking with other founders it has been made clear to me that without “ME” Allies would never have existed as more than an idea. In the position I am right now. PROVIDER AGENCY FOUNDER: Should you want some materials to get started as a founder of a provider agency in Oregon (OAR 411-323). I am making a growing list of checklists, resources, policies and procedures for purchase to help meet the minimum requirements for OAR 411-323 with substantially less effort for you as you create a provider agency from scratch. I will say that these are the minimums as it is my goal that only people who meet these requirements purchase and access this information.

  • An Executive Director must have : (some overlap can occur such as healthcare but supporting some I/DD clients)

    • 1 year of supervisory experience in field of intellectual and developmental disabilities, AND

    • 2 years experience in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities which can include the above. AND

      • A bachelors degree in related field (social work, psychology, educations, etc.), OR

      • 4 years additionally in the field of intellectual or developmental disabilities, OR

      • 6 years additionally in a related field such as education, social work, caregiving, healthcare, etc..

  • These are a sample list of major requirements that will be specified in more detail later.

    • Drivers License/auto insurance - Highly helpful though not necessary.

    • Good Credit Rating and at least $10,000 in funds prior to opening. (ability to get a line of credit is very helpful)

    • Willingness to complete any and all training from federal, state, ODDS, and local entities dictating business conduct.

    • Maintain HIPAA compliance for staff and clients.

    • Have a high school to college level of reading, writing, analysis ability and willingness to learn or delegate tasks.

    • Making plans for emergency support (must be available or have delegated people available when absent)
